The parents of students who utilize
The agreement includes the following information:
* Technology is defined as all computing hardware, software, user data and peripherals either on stand-alone equipment or connected to the local area network. Such hardware and software include, but are not limited to, scanners, printers, the internet, projectors, pc’s, monitors, keyboards, mice, mice pads and data stored either on the local machines or on the network.
* The use of technology at
* Students will not be permitted to install unauthorized software or download unauthorized information on school computers. Authorized materials will be determined on a case by case basis. The school has installed a filtering program in an attempt to block access to inappropriate sites.
* The technology will be used only for school work as directed by
* Each student is responsible for good behavior while using the technology. The same rules that apply with regard to courtesy and respect for people and property also apply with regard to the use of technology as stipulated in the Student Handbook.
* The students will only use the Internet under the supervision of a teacher or staff member.
* The network administrator has the right to monitor all technology activities, including, but not limited to e-mail correspondence, Internet searches and all material created using school technology and/or stored on school equipment.

If you have no objections to your child using the Internet as an educational tool, please read and discuss the attached form with your child. You and your child should sign the accompanying form and return it to your child’s teacher.
